what we do
Passionate Young Leaders Initiative (PYLI), is a Non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization driven by an unwavering commitment to serve the most vulnerable and underserved communities. We promote resilience, social responsibility, and cultural preservation by offering mentorship, awareness campaigns, and community development programs. Through partnerships and humanitarian outreach, we inspire positive change and create opportunities that shape a more inclusive, empowered society.
Our impact
We have successfully carried out Tourism Awareness Campaigns across all 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, reaching thousands of secondary school students. This initiative fosters an early appreciation of tourism, encourages responsible citizenship, and ignites career interests in the tourism sector. During these campaigns, we also donated writing materials to students, reinforcing our commitment to educational support and social development.
Charity Walk – Isang Ima
In line with our mission to touch lives, PYLI organizes Charity Outreach Programs themed “Isang Ima” (meaning “Walk of Love”) every February and December. Through this outreach, we have provided financial assistance to some of the most vulnerable elderly citizens, helping them purchase medications and meet other essential needs. This initiative continues to grow, and we are committed to expanding its reach in the coming years.
Leadership Training
Our just concluded online leadership training program theme: “Get Inspired” With Toastmaster Nameti Akpan our Guest Speaker, was so impactful, it reawakened the minds of the youths on the passion and purpose discovery. It’s was a great time to be reminded of the two important days in a man’s life which the day he was born and the day he discovered his purpose. It further reminded young people that leadership begins with the self thus, you can’t take people to where you’ve not been to. It was indeed a moment of inspiration.

Our work has left a lasting impact on communities, nurturing young minds, supporting the vulnerable, and using tourism as a strategic tool for social transformation. With every project, PYLI remains steadfast in its vision of creating a society where compassion, leadership, and service are at the core of human interaction.
